Savvy Caregiver

savvy caregiver logoSavvy Caregiver provides in-depth practical training for family caregivers of persons with dementia. Taking care of a person with a dementing illness is a role unlike any other, and it requires training. Think of this course as professional-level training for the non-professional, family caregiver.

Over six 90-minute classes, caregivers will learn about dementia, the progressive impact of the illness on the person, and the skills needed to manage day-to-day caregiver responsibilities with your loved one.

Classes are free to the community, made possible through a generous grant from the St. David’s Foundation. Like all of CaregiverU’s courses, Savvy Caregiver is led by certified class leaders.
