Striking a Balance 2013: Free conference for family caregivers

AGE of Central Texas and the Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area have come together for the last several years to co-host the Annual “Striking A Balance” Caregiver Conference.

This year’s “Striking a Balance” Caregiver Conference will be November 9, 2013 from 9 AM to 2 PM. Since space is limited, registration is required. Registration will be open by October 1st, so please check back.

Please note that this event is limited to family (or unpaid/informal) caregivers.

During this free conference, participants discover local caregiver resources, acquire skills to better manage their caregiving situation, and connect with other caregivers and local experts on aging. The day also includes workshops on topics related to caregiving with experts available for questions.

AGE’s Austin Adult Day Center will provide free offsite respite care during the conference, but RSVP is required— call 512-458-6305.

More information on the keynote speaker and special sessions is coming very soon! To make sure you get the latest information on this conference, please click here to be added to AGE’s ‘Caregiver Communique’ newsletter.

This conference is made possible each year by very special community sponsors who care about older adults and their caregivers. Click here to see last year’s supporters.
